About the Minnesota Minx


The Minnesota Minx are a nonprofit women’s tackle football team competing in division 3 of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). It is the mission of the Minx to provide an inclusive, safe, accessible, and uplifting environment for womxn to develop, engage, and showcase their athletic, organizational, and leadership skills.



Duties and Responsibilities


The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator (SMMC) is the marketing department for the team and deals primarily with getting the team recognized in the Twin Cities community, within the league, and the greater football community. They have ownership over the infrastructure by which the public reaches the Minx; specifically Social Media and the team website. They are responsible for developing and maintaining contacts within the local newspapers, football related media, magazines, radio stations, and TV stations. The SMMC sends out press releases, calendar postings, post-game scores, and may be asked to write game reports. They encourage media contacts to attend matches. They develop flyers, hand-outs, business cards, and team banners. They should be creative, organized, disciplined, well-spoken, a good writer, and always on the lookout for new opportunities. It is beneficial they have computer and design skills to manage the website, social media pages and marketing collateral.
