What Scholars Commit To

A Not - A - Peanut Scholar receives a full scholarship covering 100% of player dues. In return, they commit to:

  • Showing up: 80% attendance or higher with no more than 3 tardies all season, including pre-season training.

  • Knowing the playbook: Demonstrating solid knowledge of the playbook.

  • Finishing what they signed up for: Meeting all contractual obligations.

  • Leading like a captain: Whether or not they wear the C, they treat teammates, coaches, officials, and other authority figures with respect, handle conflict calmly and constructively, build an inclusive team culture without cliques, and are fully engaged in every drill, walkthrough, and Mental Monday.

If a Scholar doesn’t meet these expectations, and there are no communicated extenuating circumstances, the scholarship ends and they are responsible for any remaining dues.

Become a Not - A - Peanut Benefactor

Three Minx athletes received a full Not - A - Peanut scholarship in 2026, each one funded by someone who believed in them. If you want to sponsor a Scholar and put your name behind an athlete who works hard, shows up, and leads like a captain, we’d love to hear from you. Contact minx@mnminx.com about becoming a Not - A - Peanut Benefactor.

Not - A - Peanut Scholarship

“And Sheena is not a peanut!” That was the announcer’s call in 2016 when scholarship founder and benefactor, Sheena Reed, playing for the Minnesota Vixen, ran over a running back nicknamed “Peanut,” the same nickname every running back they faced seemed to share. Today, the "Not - A - Peanut" Scholarship carries that attitude forward, covering player dues so a Minx athlete can focus on being the best student of the game, the hardest worker, and the hardest hitter they can be. Recipients embody the mission, vision, and values of the Minx all season long and lead the way a captain would, whether or not they wear the C.

The 2027 Scholarship Benefactors are:

Sheena Reed, Founder

Claire Romey, Board President
Mackenzie Kramer, Board Vice President

Megan & Jacob Ackerman, Board Chairperson

Jodi "Moose" Rehlander, 2026 Head Coach
